Delete Your Whirl Account
Whirl is operated by Imagine Reality Integration Systems. This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data, and what happens when you do.
1. How to Delete Your Account
In the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Whirl app:
- Open the Whirl app and sign in to your account.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm your request. Your account will be immediately deactivated and your profile and content will no longer be visible on Whirl. Your data will be permanently deleted within 90 days.
By Email
If you cannot access the app, you can also request deletion by email:
- Send an email to support@whirl.art from the email address associated with your Whirl account.
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
- Include your username or any other relevant account details to help us identify your account.
2. Data Deletion & Retention
When you request account deletion, your account is immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion. Below is a summary of how your data is handled:
Data Deleted
- Your account profile, display name, bio, and profile image.
- Uploaded media, generated artworks, and AI generation history.
- Posts, comments, reactions, challenge entries, and community activity.
- Direct messages and attachments.
- Personal identifiers from our active databases.
Data Retained
- Anonymized usage data for internal analytics.
- Transactional records required for legal, tax, or security purposes (such as fraud prevention).
- Billing records retained for up to 7 years for legal compliance.
- Diagnostic and security logs retained for up to 90 days.
Your profile and content will no longer be visible on Whirl immediately upon deactivation. You may reactivate your account within 90 days by logging back in. If you do not reactivate within 90 days, your account data will be permanently deleted or anonymized, except for information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes.
The full deletion process will be completed within 30 days of your verified request (or after the 90-day reactivation window, whichever is later).
