Whirl Community Guidelines

Whirl Community Guidelines

Effective Date: March 13, 2026

Whirl is an AI-powered platform for creating, sharing, and discovering visual art. We want Whirl to be creative, competitive, and inspiring — but also safe, respectful, and fair.

These Community Guidelines apply to your use of Whirl, including public posts, challenge entries, comments, messages, profile content, usernames, bios, prompts, uploads, edits, links, and other interactions on the platform.
These Guidelines supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you violate these Guidelines, we may remove content, limit features, disqualify entries, suspend your account, or permanently ban you.

If you see a violation, please report it through our in-app tools or email support@whirl.art.

1. Treat People with Respect

Whirl is for creators from many backgrounds and skill levels. Do not use Whirl to harass, demean, intimidate, or target others.
You may not:
• bully, threaten, stalk, or abuse other users
• post hateful or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics
• make personal attacks in comments, messages, or posts
• repeatedly contact someone who does not want to hear from you
• share someone’s private or personal information without permission
Criticism is allowed. Harassment is not. Keep feedback civil and focused on the content, not the person.

2. Keep Content Safe and Lawful

Do not post, upload, generate, request, send, or promote content that is illegal, exploitative, deceptive, or harmful.
This includes, without limitation:
• sexual exploitation or abuse of any kind
• any sexual content involving minors
• pornography, explicit sexual acts, or sexualized nudity
• graphic violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm
• terrorist, extremist, or criminal content
• scams, fraud, phishing, malware, or deceptive links
• content intended to threaten, extort, blackmail, or intimidate
• instructions or content meant to facilitate serious harm or illegal activity
Whirl is not a platform for NSFW content.

3. No Impersonation, Deception, or Harmful AI Use

Because Whirl involves AI-generated content, honesty matters.
You may not:
• impersonate another person, creator, brand, organization, or Whirl staff
• create or share deceptive media intended to mislead people about a real person, event, endorsement, or identity
• create non-consensual deepfakes or manipulated images of real people
• use Whirl to defame, exploit, humiliate, or target others
• use prompts, edits, or generations to create content that violates these Guidelines
Even if content is AI-generated, you are still responsible for what you create, upload, share, or send.

4. Respect Intellectual Property and Ownership Rights

Only post, upload, or use content that you have the right to use.
You may not:
• infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, or other intellectual property rights
• upload or edit content you do not have permission to use
• falsely claim ownership or authorship of someone else’s work
• remove attribution or conceal origin where attribution is required
If you believe content on Whirl infringes your rights, please report it.

5. Keep Comments, Messages, and Profiles Clean

Community features must be used responsibly.
The following are not allowed in comments, direct messages, usernames, bios, profile images, or links:
• harassment, slurs, abuse, or threats
• sexual solicitation or unwanted sexual content
• spam or repeated unsolicited promotion
• scam offers, fake giveaways, or misleading claims
• impersonation or fake affiliation
• links to malicious, exploitative, or deceptive sites
If messaging or commenting features are abused, we may restrict or remove access to those features.

6. Keep Competitions Fair

Whirl includes challenges, themes, rankings, and community participation features. Use them honestly.
You may not:
• submit content you do not have rights to
• use fake accounts or multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage
• artificially inflate likes, votes, views, or engagement
• coordinate brigading, vote manipulation, or fraudulent activity
• spam low-effort, duplicate, or irrelevant entries
• mislabel or misrepresent your submission to gain an advantage
We may remove, disqualify, or restrict any content or account that undermines the fairness of the platform.

7. Protect Minors and Vulnerable Users

Whirl is only for users who meet the minimum age requirements in our Terms of Service.
Do not:
• exploit, sexualize, groom, or endanger minors
• create, request, upload, or share harmful content involving minors
• target vulnerable individuals for manipulation, abuse, or exploitation
Violations involving child safety are treated extremely seriously and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

8. Reporting and Moderation

We use a combination of automated systems and human review to help detect and respond to violations.
We may take action including:
• removing content
• limiting visibility or reach
• disabling features
• disqualifying challenge entries
• issuing warnings
• suspending accounts
• permanently banning accounts
• reporting serious violations when required or appropriate
Enforcement decisions may depend on context, severity, repetition, and risk to users or the platform.

9. Ban Evasion and Repeat Abuse

If your account is restricted or banned, do not try to get around that action.
You may not:
• create new accounts to evade enforcement
• use alternate accounts to continue violating these Guidelines
• help another user evade a restriction or ban
Doing so may result in permanent removal of all related accounts.

10. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. By continuing to use Whirl after updates take effect, you agree to the revised Guidelines.
If you have questions or want to appeal certain enforcement actions, contact support@whirl.art.
Thank you for helping keep Whirl creative, respectful, and fair.
